Apple Blossom

Our traditional day at Apple Blossom always begins with the Kiwanis pancake breakfast. Lindsea did one better and ran the Pig Jig at 8:30. She is still trying to find out her score, but we appreciated the fact that she babysat the Girls on the Run participants.
We enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, and ham. Nick is wondering where all the food is. According to Nick, Whitni set the Kiwanis record of putting away 28 pancakes.
Dale took lessons from Whitni on how to properly wave. Unfortunately he had to ice his shoulder after the parade.
My contribution for the day was the quilt I put in the quilt show. Marissa has laid claim to it, so she was hesitant to leave. After the parade, we looked at Nick's photo in the art show, wandered around visiting, and saw if there was anything worth buying at the street fair. In the evening the last event was the pageant. First is the procession, a short program, then the Grand March.
Whitni danced with her escort first, then was privileged to dance with her father. They took it very seriously.
Then I was honored to dance with my favorite guy.
The day is over. We had a lot of fun, but we are all officially exhausted.

Love Page's "rabbit ears" on Rissa's shoulder. Next year she will be tall enough to get them on her head!

That was a great day... did Whitni really eat 28 pancakes?!? How does she keep that figure? And please tell Dale that Kurt and I were very impressed with his wave. Definitely worth needing to ice!

I just showed Emily these pictures of Whitney and she crinkled her nose and said, "Is that Cinderella?"
