A Most Wonderful Glorious Weekend

Marissa and Lindsea braved the freeway to watch Whitni play some volleyball. It was fun to have them. They notch the energy level at the house. We're pretty lowkey. Marissa bought a new camera so here are some of her shots. We are really looking forward to notching up the energy level even more at Thanksgiving when the whole family will be here. (Of course I mean ROCK!!!)

Look at that arm! We're assuming the five foot Whitni was probably going against a five foot seven Liberty Bell Lion, but we're not really sure of her height.

The other pictures are our version of family pictures. We enjoy whenever we can get together, but some of us enjoyed it too much. Nathan thought he was the goofy relative, he should do pictures with us and see who it is.... It does show who Dale and I are really enjoying these days.

The Grammy part of Grammy Rae

The best part of growing older! This cute boy that makes me smile anytime I see him. At school when I need a lift I find the blog or the many pictures adorning my classroom and the day is magically better.
Whitni won her game tonight. The first game was ugly. The rest were better. I believe the girls are in second place, but who knows.
I may be quitting school sooner than later. Four of my colleagues have battled cancer in the last three years. In a small elementary school that seems like a lot of cancer. Today we found out that one special friend has many spots of cancer that are inoperable in her brain. I student taught in her class, and then we were teaching partners when I taught first grade. We share a love of chocolate, especially M&M's. Through her battle she has remained so upbeat and positive. If anyone deserves a miracle it would be her. Time to go look at Rock.

Volleyball

Whitni has been tearing up the court. Her position this year is setter. Many times she runs at least 10 miles during the game getting to many impossible balls. She comes home absolutely exhausted. Her father also is busy at the games. Notice him in the back calling the lines. I stay behind the scenes doing the scorebook or score clock. Last night the other team starting yelling, "Hey scorer lady, you've got the wrong score." I turned to them, looked at the score book and told them it was correct. She pointed to a friend who looked like she must have been keeping score with her phone. I guess this was their official scorer. I'm supposed to take their word that she knows all the rules. We did win!

Reluctant Starter

Talk about being intimidated into starting this. We'll see how much I really have to say. Volleyball will be the talk for awhile. Flash from the past.
