Rissa Rae

Twenty-two years ago a force of energy was born to Dale and RaeAnne. She came into the world on her own time, late. But when she decided to come she came - without the doctor but her dad to steer her into the world. This has always been a favorite picture of mine. It shows her impishness mixed with lots of sweetness.Marissa has always been full of energy. When little she used to stomp one of her feet really quickly. It was cute to watch. Therefore, Thumper became a nickname. She loves "doing" and always with a smile on her face. She's very fashionable. She cleans up well.Marissa likes to be with people. I believe I can honestly say that family would be her top picks to sleep outside with her, go to concerts, and hang out with. But she must do it with someone, she can't do anything alone.
She especially loved being with the older cousins. I believe you see Marissa, Jocelyn, Lindsea, Juliana, and Kellie looking their best.
She loves to have fun, and she loves to be the center of the fun. We tease her that her initials are ME, as in all about me-Marissa. But I know she gives way more to those around her.
Looking through her pictures I don't think I saw a single frown or mad face (not sure I can say that about her siblings).

Volleyball, basketball, track and softball were lots of fun to watch. She gave it all, just as she gives her relationships. She also gave it all to her love of pigs when she was younger. We couldn't feed her any pork product. The fair took away that love with the day to day care of the breeder pig she had.
One of my favorite pics. She has beautiful curls! I love when she leaves them in and doesn't spend time taking them out with a straightener.Happy Birthday my sweet Rissa. Thanks for all the memories, the laughs, the loud stories, the talks, the wild games, the example of responsibility and just for being you. I love you!!!!!

Well of course he is nice!

I received a phone call waking me up from an almost nap. Charlene Shively had called to ask about a relative of mine. She receives the Chelan paper (I think, remember I was almost asleep) and happened upon a "Jeff" England. She wondered whose son he was. She also went on to say that she had visited with a friend who had met Jeffrey. Her friend remarked at how nice Jeffrey was. Charlene told me, "Well of course he is nice. He is an England. You wouldn't expect anything else from relatives coming from Helen and Leo."

I have been thinking a lot lately on people who change your life for good. Helen and Leo definitely have done that for me. Here's a short tribute to two great people who I believe exemplified being nice.
