Our traditional day at Apple Blossom always begins with the Kiwanis pancake breakfast. Lindsea did one better and ran the Pig Jig at 8:30. She is still trying to find out her score, but we appreciated the fact that she babysat the Girls on the Run participants.
We enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, and ham. Nick is wondering where all the food is.
According to Nick, Whitni set the Kiwanis record of putting away 28 pancakes.
Dale took lessons from Whitni on how to properly wave. Unfortunately he had to ice his shoulder after the parade.
My contribution for the day was the quilt I put in the quilt show. Marissa has laid claim to it, so she was hesitant to leave.
After the parade, we looked at Nick's photo in the art show, wandered around visiting, and saw if there was anything worth buying at the street fair. In the evening the last event was the pageant. First is the procession, a short program, then the Grand March.
Whitni danced with her escort first, then was privileged to dance with her father. They took it very seriously.
Then I was honored to dance with my favorite guy.
The day is over. We had a lot of fun, but we are all officially exhausted.
He was well cared for by many who loved him. 
He lived up to everyone's expectations and has always enjoyed entertaining. I always remembered how excited I was to have my family come to his blessing, even Grandma Carter. It was great to have my mom's help and reassurance that I was doing things right.
One day Aaron's grandpa Leo decided to play a practical joke on this new mother. Dale and I carried Aaron out in his carseat and headed home. Halfway home I realized my baby in his car sear was nothing but blankets. After briefly freaking out we headed back to a smiling grandpa holding his grandson.
Grandma Helen was good at telling the truth. Aaron was brilliant, smarter than others his age and could do things no other child could do. Of course, she was right. Aaron was something very special.
He had many wonderful playmates through the years, most of them cousins.
I love you Aaron. 
We are now fully involved in the Princess season, or rather parades galore. Each Saturday for three weeks we will be enjoying watching smiling girls atop floats. Yesterday we enjoyed Wenatchee's parade, or rather we enjoyed waiting for the parade to start with three adorable girls, escorts and many friends who help make a float happen for these kids. But the girls don't just wake up looking like a princess. They have to wake up at 5, get their hair done at 6.
One of the big tricks was getting three foofy dresses inside the back of our pickup. It's a good thing it wasn't a long ride.
While we waited for about 4 1/2 hours the girls got to practice actions with the songs being played on the float. They were having lots of fun.
